Technician, Refrigeration​/HVAC

Position Summary

Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician at Walmart local retail store. Support and oversee repair of Walmart facilities Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills. Use hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.

Support the HVAC team by maintaining and repairing refrigeration equipment, responding to work orders, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility's refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, hand tools, digital tools, power tools and other equipment.
• Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support stores and associate staff, and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate or test facilities, equipment or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete required safety and equipment training.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines, following Walmart's Refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 pounds and work frequently at heights, moving up and down ladders and on platforms.

• 2 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Large Scale Rack Refrigeration Experience.
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA Certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record, able to pass an MVR.
• 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical HVAC/R program.
• Mechanical license in the city and/or state where the job is located.
• 4 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.

The hourly wage range for this position is $23.00–$45.00. Additional premiums may apply.
