Description
The Services for New Americans Team empowers resettled refugees to become self-sufficient by connecting refugees to community services and facilitating community integration. The Resettlement Navigator Assistant assists the case management team by supporting each refugee during their initial period of resettlement, up to five years and beyond as needed. The assistant develops and maintains relationships with assigned cases, acting as their central coordinator and point person for resettlement services.
This entry‑level social services case‑management position focuses on supporting clients in the community by providing transportation to and from appointments, interviews, job orientation, trainings, classes, and more.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide transportation to families in a safe and timely fashion.
- Assist with apartment setup and the move‑in process for families served.
- Assist with procurement and distribution of goods to families served.
- Communicate and update stakeholders in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Accompany individuals and families at appointments or other engagements.
- Assist with program service delivery logistics, including orientation of new program participants and participating in, or facilitating, group discussions.
- Support basic cultural orientation, including accessing community resources and public transportation.
- Provide a welcoming environment that embraces cultural differences while educating families about the cultural norms in their new home.
- Assist with airport pickups, orientation, and negotiating services as needed.
- Assist staff with all activities related to supporting refugee and migrant families upon arrival and on an ongoing basis.
- Assist refugees to live as self‑sufficiently as possible and to integrate into the community while maintaining compliance with the refugee program contracts.
- Complete and maintain documentation in a timely manner and according to contractual standards as assigned.
- Maintain calendars and room reservation systems for the New American Program Team.
- Maintain a welcoming environment in the New American Welcome Center, including prepping for meetings and ensuring office and classrooms are ready for programming.
- Act as backup for front desk and reception duties.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Organized with great attention to detail and flexibility.
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Reliable and responsible for attending all scheduled appointments and meetings.
- Experience or openness to working with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
- Strong computer skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with moving, packing, and apartment setup.

This position is located in Concord, NH. It is an in‑person role that requires occasional local travel and the ability to provide transportation to clients using one’s own vehicle.
