St. Paul's School seeks a part-time Lifeguard to be part of a dedicated team of Lifeguards that support each other.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Must be able to pass the Red Cross Lifeguard Certification course, or already hold certification. Duties include supervising and ensuring safety around the pool. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Knowledge of CPR and emergency action skills and rescue skills. Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions. Participate in in-service training.

Qualification Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential physical and academic duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Language Skills

Good oral and written communication skills.

Reasoning Skills

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Current Red Cross lifeguard certification or ability to pass the course and CPR for Professional Rescuer/First Aid certification required.

Physical Demands

Must be a strong swimmer.

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
The following shifts are available

Wednesday and Friday 6:00am - 7:30am

Sundays 1:00pm - 4:00pm

Shifts may be available Monday - Friday 3:30pm - 5:30pm

All shifts are for the school year, ending in June of 2026 and resuming at the end of August 2026.
