Schedule

Monday thru Friday 10:00am- 6:30pm

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete all required repairs on diesel reefer equipment (THERMO KING & CARRIER TRAILER REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS, Reefer Microprocessors, etc.).
  • Perform preventative maintenance within manufacturer standards.
  • Mentor other maintenance shop personnel.
  • Receive road calls, assign third party vendor, and work with business partners on plan of action.
  • Utilize fleet maintenance software system tablet to fully document equipment repair and parts used.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations and government guidelines.
  • Willingness and capacity to assume increased responsibility and certifications.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.

RELATIONSHIPS

Internal:
All Fleet Technicians, Drivers, Coordinators and Manager.

External:
Dealer Service Managers.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Onsite:
The associate in this role is expected to perform assigned responsibilities inside a US Foods maintenance facility.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must have 3 years of verifiable hands‑on experience as a Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration technician. TK/Carrier Refrigeration Certifications.
  • Must be willing to travel and attend training provided by US Foods.
  • Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to reefer equipment repairs.
  • Successfully demonstrated independent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Must furnish own personal hand tools.
  • Ability to read and understand technical and online service manuals.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • EPA 608 (Type 2 or Universal) & EPA 609 Certifications.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to comply with EPA, OSHA & DOT regulations as pertaining to the shop and fleet.
  • Computer and software experience (e.g., Noregon Diag Equip/A/C Recovery, etc.).
  • Welding ability.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $40-$42 per hour. This role will also receive overtime compensation.
