Early-stage firm with a strong track record of launching successful high-growth startups is looking for an Executive Assistant to support their CEO. This is an incredible opportunity to support an experienced, highly respected Founder in a high-impact role and gain front-row exposure to company-building and operations. In this role, you’ll support the CEO by managing complex calendars to keep him focused on the highest-leverage priorities, coordinating travel, preparing for key engagements and meetings, and tracking action items with follow-through.
There will be light coordination support to key senior leaders. You’ll also support firm and portfolio operations, including hiring and onboarding operations, employee experience initiatives, event planning, and internal organization and systems. There is a lot of variety and opportunity in this role to flex and grow. Someone with high velocity and responsiveness who can juggle multiple work streams, work autonomously, and take initiative.
Previous experience in a high-growth startup or VC, who can handle variability and operate with speed. They are looking for someone based in Raleigh, NC, who is able to meet with the Executive in-person 1-2 days/week. 140-180K+ DOE + equity, benefits, 401k, and unlimited PTO.
- Provide high-level administrative support to the CEO, including complex calendar management to optimize time on high-priority initiatives.
- Coordinate and support key internal and external meetings, including board, investor, partner, and leadership meetings. Own logistics, prepare materials and agendas, and track action items and follow-ups.
- Book travel and trip logistics, including detailed itineraries.
- Provide administrative support to other key leaders.
- Support firm and portfolio operations initiatives, including hiring and onboarding processes, employee experience, and internal systems and documentation.
- Draft documents and agreements, including contracts, NDAs, offer letters, etc.
- Plan and manage events and programs, including conferences, off-sites, dinners, and portfolio events.
- Take on additional operational processes such as OKR implementation, review and feedback cycles, learning and development programs, etc.
- Handle ad hoc tasks and projects to support growth.
- 4+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant, Operations, or Program role in a high-growth startup, VC, or similar environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to manage various work streams with speed, accuracy, and a strong sense of ownership.
- Demonstrated discretion and dependability when handling sensitive information.
- Highly proactive, solutions-oriented, and capable of anticipating needs.
- Systems and process-oriented to work asynchronously.
- Comfortable in a high-performance, fast-moving environment that values responsiveness, accountability, and continuous improvement.
