Job Overview

Administrative Specialist I (S), Grade NC08, works at the Veterans Service Center office in Winston Salem, North Carolina (Forsyth County).

Description:

Provide office support, answer a multi‑line telephone system, greet visitors and clients, provide routine benefits information or refer to appropriate staff, collect and store data on veterans’ claims using Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM), use Microsoft Office tools in a Windows LAN environment, and manage filing systems and office machines.

Responsibilities
  • Answer the multi‑line telephone system and greet visitors and clients.
  • Provide routine benefits information and make referrals.
  • Collect and store data on veterans’ claims using Salesforce CRM.
  • Use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Maintain a filing system and use various office machines.
  • Handle sensitive or confidential information appropriately.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED with at least two years of related administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Documented experience using a multi‑line telephone system.
  • Documented experience handling sensitive or confidential information.
  • Documented experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience with office methods, procedures, and filing systems.
Other Information

Salary Range: $39,244.00 – $68,679.00 (Grade NC08).
