**** SALARY RANGE:  $40,696.00 - $59,161.00
** District Court 14, serving Cumberland County, seeks a qualified candidate to perform a variety of secretarial and administrative tasks for the Chief District Court Judge and other District Court judges in the 14th judicial district.

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Screens callers and visitors, answers inquiries, secures and gives information.
* Screens and routes mail according to contents of communication including email.
* Schedules appointments and meetings, makes travel arrangements, and maintains administrative records for the office.
* Orders and distributed office supplies.
* Copies, files, and retrieves materials and performs periodic follow-up activities.
* Composes and prepares materials including correspondence, reports, and legal documents.
* May prepare and distribute calendars and answer questions regarding status of cases.
* May provide support services to other programs in the district such as arbitration, mediation, or jury management.
* May assist with jury management operations.
** KNOWLEDGE,

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

/ COMPETENCIES
**** Knowledge of:
** court rules and procedures; general office procedures; grammar and punctuation; word processing; commonly used rules, procedures, or methods, to perform assignments.

** Skills in:
** Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

** Ability to:
** screen communications and based on content, handle independently or route to proper destination; apply grammar and punctuation rules; type with accuracy and speed; spell accurately; use judgment in organizing and establishing document format; give basic information and instructions regarding programs or office based on inquires; operate office equipment such as copier, calculator, fax machine, computer, and telephones.
