Multifamily Assistant Superintedent

We are seeking an experienced Multifamily Assistant Superintendent to join a great team and learn from very experienced Field Managers while working on negotiated projects.

• 3+ years experience on commercial or multifamily construction projects in a construction management capacity
• Some multifamily experience preferred
• Experience in sitework considered a plus but not required

• Assist the Superintendent in overseeing daily operations on multifamily construction projects
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project schedules and quality standards
• Conduct regular site inspections to maintain safety standards and identify potential issues
• Assist in developing and updating project schedules
• Manage material deliveries and inventory on-site
• Maintain accurate daily logs and project documentation
• Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations
• Assist in resolving field issues and coordinating solutions with the project team

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience) - recent grads are encouraged to apply, potentially for more junior positions
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, building systems, and industry standards
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
• Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Plan Grid)
• OSHA 30-hour certification
• Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities
• Ability to travel within the region beyond Durham or Raleigh if the job requires
