DESCRIPTION
The CIP Senior Construction Manager will have field responsibility for the execution and delivery of Carrollwood Farms large scale construction projects in a timely and cost-effective manner. The CIP Senior Construction Manager is responsible for the budgeting, organization, implementation and scheduling of the projects.
Carrollwood Farms is located in Sandy Ridge, NC.
- Oversee and direct multiple construction projects from conception to completion
- Development and implementation of the overall project schedule
- Responsible for coordination of all tradesmen, subcontractors and material deliveries to meet milestone dates
- Lead and direct Superintendent(s) in the field
- Ensure all construction activities are in compliance with applicable building and safety regulations. Develop and implement construction safety plan
- Organize and run weekly project owner/architect/contractor meetings
- Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory
- Meet contractual conditions of performance
Review work progress on daily basis - Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
- Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
- Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and scopes of work
- Obtain and maintain all necessary project level permits and licenses
- Analyze, manage and mitigate risks
- Maintain the highest quality construction standards utilizing proper construction techniques
- Excellent knowledge of construction materials and equipment, quality standards as well as construction means and methods. Timber frame construction experience a plus
- Minimum of 10 years hands‑on experience managing commercial construction projects with values up to $50M. Previous hospitality experience desired
- Proficient in MS Project scheduling software and Excel
- Understanding of all facets of the construction process (site work, mechanical, plumbing, etc.)
- Ability to plan ahead and see the “big picture”
- Excellent negotiation, communication, time management, and organization skills
- BS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field
- Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Exposure to characteristic construction site dangers.
