Overview
Pinckney Harmon is currently looking for a Junior Graphic Designer to join our team! In this role, you will work closely with a team of designers and account managers to meet the needs of a variety of clients. The Graphic Designer will apply art, design, and copy layout skills to create visually engaging concepts, including logos, promotional and branding materials, and other print and digital materials.
You should be able to showcase a portfolio that spans various styles and industries, including but not limited to email marketing, social media assets, digital banners, branding, web design, and print collateral.
- Creates original visual media that communicates the desired feeling or message in an engaging and unified way
- Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks within identified time frames
- Incorporate changes recommended by Design Lead, Creative Lead, and clients into the final design
- Able to present designs and able to back up design direction/choice with valid reasoning
- Collaborates and consults with editorial staff, manager, art director, and/or other project participants to understand project assignment, audience, and intended message
- Chooses graphics, clip art, and stock photography, as appropriate
- Follow brand guidelines when selecting fonts for written copy; produce a sample layout for approval by client or other project participants
- Prepares drafts of design work and provides samples to editorial or other appropriate staff or departments for review
- Revises projects as necessary based on collaborative feedback process
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field
- Must live within a commutable distance to Charlotte, NC
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Proficiency in desktop publishing tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and other Adobe programs
- Ability to work independently on an assignment
- Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team
