Photographer

A Photographer is essential in documenting and showcasing a memorable summer at 6 Points Sports Academy. Photographers work on the communications team and spend most of their time capturing, editing, and uploading. Photographers are key members of our summer staff putting forth hundreds of photos for our camp community to enjoy during the summer and year round. Photographers must be familiar and support the mission of 6 Points Sports Academy and act in accordance with this mission.

We want our Photographers in the fields, engaging with campers, as they capture the everyday beauty at Jewish, Sports, Camp. Please reach out to SportsNC if you have any questions.

• Capture Sport Majors, Electives, Special Events
• Utilize camera and prior experience to judge and capture moments focusing on camp community
• Strive for every face, every place, every day – striving to capture all the people and places at camp
• Confirm daily schedule assignments and prepare needed resources with communications team leadership and teammates
• Intentionally capture camp population being mindful of boundaries while shooting
• Upload and edit photographs daily, minimum twice a day, to share with rest of communications team
• Ensure organization of all photos are uploaded properly through directed processes by team lead
• Relate with campers and staff throughout day building rapport with camp community while capturing camp life
• Awareness of impact as a role model following required camp policies and values while working on staff
• Join camp community and participate around staff community moments like Friday night Oneg (end of week staff appreciation and staff update), Shabbat, and more
• Work collaboratively with fellow teammates and leadership to enhance the overall camp experience for yourself and the camp community, knowing emergency procedures for situations that may arise

$2,000-3,000

• Experience and comfortability utilizing camera equipment to capture digital photographs showcasing sports photography
• Ability to edit photos with applications such as and not limited to:
  Adobe Lightroom
• Prior knowledge and portfolio of photography work ability to capture with a preference for sports photographers
• Ability to manage multiple projects with quick deadlines while working with teammates in a respectful manner contributing positively to the team culture
• Flexible working style with comfort in pivoting and changing direction to meet needs of the day
