Box Office AssociateReports to:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
A UCPAC Box Office Associate is responsible for providing a friendly and helpful customer service experience during the ticket buying process. This is a forward-facing position, working directly with our patrons, under the Finance Director’s supervision. UCPAC’s current ticket operating system is VBO.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with a ticketing point of sale preferred.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Friendly and calm customer service demeanor, both in-person and over the phone.
- Responsible and ethical money handling.
- High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalency required.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal.
- Problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure during stressful situations.
- The ability to work and communicate effectively with people of diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Must have the availability to work weekends, evenings, and some holidays.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described herein represent those that must be met by a Box Office Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. While performing the duties of this job, a Box Office Associate is regularly required to talk and hear. They are frequently required to sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch to reach supplies.
They must occasionally lift and/or move our 15 lb. BOCA Ticket Printer. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision small print reading, and long periods of screen time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but is occasionally loud.

The House Associate will be responsible for set-up and breakdown of concession inventory, selling to patrons preshow and intermission and/or assisting at the front door/house as an Usher. House Associates will work at different posts including Front Door, Concessions, and in the House. Primary functions include customer service, selling food, drinks, handling inventory/money, scanning tickets, and ushering.
PLEASE NOTE:
Because UCPAC serves alcohol, YOU MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION.
Concessions:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
:
- Preparing concession stands with inventory to be sold to patrons.
- Maintaining a clean concession area.
- Serving concessions to patrons including alcoholic beverages.
- Selling merchandise.
- Accurate and responsible handling and reporting of all sales.
- Providing support to Front of House and client hospitality Back of House as needed.
- Following all emergency protocols and guiding audience members to the exits in an orderly manner.
Usher:
- Welcoming guests in a polite and friendly manner.
- Checking and scanning tickets and directing guests to their seats.
- Distributing programs, brochures, and other materials.
- Informing guests about the location of the restrooms, refreshments, and exits.
- Tending to guests’ comfort and assisting them with any questions or problems.
- Assisting patrons with disabilities or other impairments, as needed.
- Providing support to Concessions and client hospitality Back of House as needed.
- Enforcing event rules and relevant health and safety regulations.
- Ensuring that the lobby and facilities are neat and organized.
- Following all emergency protocols and guiding audience members to the exits in an orderly manner.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Concession or usher experience preferred.
