Position: Member of the Board of Advisors- retired/semi retired chiefs of police and fire

Opioid Training Solutions provides evidence-based, university-backed online training designed for law enforcement, corrections professionals, and first responders to manage opioid crisis situations effectively and safely. Using real-world scenarios and the Crisis to CARE™ framework, the training emphasizes de-escalation techniques, crisis intervention, and connecting individuals to treatment resources. Participants can earn professional credits, including POST and CEUs. The programs offer flexibility with mobile-friendly, self-paced courses and include a comprehensive toolkit of resources to help agencies improve outcomes and reduce liability for responders and their communities.

Role Description

This is a part-time(10-20 hrs weekly), remote role based in either North Carolina, South Carolina or Indiana for a Member of the Board of Advisors at Opioid Training Solutions. In this role, you will provide strategic guidance, support funding initiatives, and contribute to the organization’s mission through advising on financial planning, marketing strategies, and policy development. Responsibilities include attending board meetings, supporting decision-making processes, offering insights based on research and data analysis, and building partnerships with community stakeholders to amplify program impact.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Finance and Analytical Skills to contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning discussions
  • Strong Research capabilities to guide informed decision-making and policy recommendations
  • Experience in Fundraising to support efforts in securing resources and fostering donor relationships
  • Expertise in Marketing to assist in strategies for outreach, promotion, and stakeholder engagement
  • Demonstrated ability to provide strategic guidance and collaborate effectively with diverse teams
  • Familiarity with public safety, public health, or opioid crisis management is advantageous
  • Advanced degree or equivalent professional experience in business, nonprofit management, public health, or a related field
