ECU Health Physicians and the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine, located in Greenville, North Carolina, are seeking a board‑certified/board‑eligible PM&R physician to join their expanding faculty. The successful candidate will provide care on a CARF‑accredited General Rehabilitation, Spinal Cord Injury, and/or Traumatic Brain Injury inpatient unit as well as in an outpatient clinical setting.
The PM&R Department serves the rehabilitation needs of 1.4 million people in a 29‑county region of eastern North Carolina and is located within ECU Health Rehabilitation Center at ECU Health Medical Center with Spinal Cord, Brain Injury, General Rehab, and Pediatric Rehabilitation Units. The Medical Center’s 75‑bed inpatient unit is one of few rehabilitation facilities in the U.S. accredited by the Committee on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) in eleven or more specialty areas.
The Center is also one of the five centers of excellence at ECU Health.

- State‑of‑the‑art 75‑bed inpatient rehabilitation unit
- Multiple outpatient clinical settings including pain clinic, sports medicine clinic, lifestyle medicine clinic, wound clinic, and neurosurgery clinic
- Participation in the training of residents, medical students, and other allied health students
- Research is supported and is a valued component of the position
- Opportunities exist for performance of EMGs, MSK ultrasound, and other outpatient clinical needs including outpatient musculoskeletal clinics in our newly developed Ortho/Musculoskeletal service line, amputee care, spasticity management including baclofen pumps, Botox and phenol, and wound/hyperbaric medicine

- Provide comprehensive PM&R care on inpatient and outpatient units as described above.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement rehabilitation plans.
- Participate in resident, medical student, and allied health student training.
- Engage in research activities in line with department priorities.
- Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
- MD or DO degree.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. (J‑1 or H‑1B visa options available).
