Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team for the uping school year. The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for providing specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs, fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment, and collaborating with colleagues and parents to ensure the academic and social-emotional success of all students.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Provide direct instruction and support in academic subjects, social skills, and life skills development.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and behavior.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and success.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Valid North Carolina teaching license in Special Education.
• Previous experience working with students with special needs preferred.
• Knowledge of evidence-based instructional strategies and interventions for students with diverse learning needs.
• Strong munication and collaboration skills.
