The Structured Learning Teacher supports students in developing skills, attitudes, and knowledge necessary for future learning, using varied teaching methods tailored to each child's abilities. The position is located at Patriots Elementary, Concord, North Carolina.

Essential Functions
  • Develop lesson plans and instructional materials providing effective teaching strategies.
  • Maintain effective classroom management, recognize and address learning and behavior issues.
  • Understand developmental appropriateness of materials and differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Evaluate student accomplishments regularly using multiple assessment methods; provide progress and interim reports.
  • Communicate with parents timely; maintain positive and constructive communication with students, staff, parents, and community.
  • Protect students, equipment, materials and facilities taking necessary and reasonable precautions.
  • Uphold and enforce board policy, district goals, administrative procedures and school rules and regulations; adhere to health and safety policies.
  • Maintain appropriate work habits, including regular and punctual attendance and appropriate use of conference and planning time.
  • Remain current in subject matter knowledge and learning theory; attend workshops, seminars and conferences as required.
  • Respect confidentiality of records and information regarding students, parents and teachers in accordance with professional ethics and laws.
  • Share responsibility during the school day for the supervision of students in areas of the school.
