EC Teacher (Part time teacher support

We are looking for an experienced (perhaps retired) Part time EC teacher that would like a support role in a school. This position will support new EC teachers with IEP writing, progress monitoring, and some meetings. We can be flexible with the hours.

The EC Teacher (Part time teacher support) provides instructional and classroom support to Exceptional Children (EC) teachers and students in an on-site setting located in Concord, NC. In this full-time role, the teacher support professional assists with implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), reinforcing lesson objectives, and supporting differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs. Daily responsibilities include helping with small group and one-on-one instruction, preparing and organizing instructional materials, tracking student progress, and collaborating with EC teachers, general education teachers, and support staff.

The role also involves maintaining a safe and supportive classroom environment, supporting behavior management plans, and communicating regularly with school staff and families as needed. The EC Teacher (Part time teacher support) contributes to a positive school culture focused on student growth, inclusion, and academic success.

• Candidates should possess strong Teaching and Education skills, with experience supporting diverse learners, including students with exceptional needs.
• Candidates should possess Lesson Planning and Training skills to assist in developing and reinforcing instructional activities aligned with IEP goals and curriculum standards.
• Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills for collaborating with teachers, staff, families, and students.
• Relevant qualifications may include an associate or bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field; EC or teaching licensure preferred or willingness to pursue licensure.
