Job Type: Full‑time.
The role involves conducting commissioning and retro‑commissioning, providing limited construction assistance on a variety of property types, including government, commercial, industrial, multifamily residential, manufacturing, and institutional properties.
Responsibilities- Prepare commissioning plans for complex or broad‑scope projects.
- Prepare existing building commissioning plans.
- Develop commissioning specifications and functional test scripts.
- Conduct site visits to verify system/equipment installation.
- Review submittals and shop drawings for conformance with Owner’s Project Requirements and commissionability.
- Participate in design review meetings to discuss review comments.
- Verify existing building system condition and building functions.
- Functional test new and existing building systems to confirm they meet project requirements and sequence of operation.
- 10+ years progressive commissioning experience or facilities operations & maintenance experience.
- Commissioning certification (CxA, CCCP, NEBB) required; LEED AP accreditation a plus.
- Retro‑commissioning experience and building testing.
- Understanding and experience with a variety of HVAC systems.
- Familiarity with ASHRAE standards and ICC Building, Mechanical and Green Energy Codes.
- Excellent report‑writing, computer, internet, communication, management, time‑management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel on short notice (1 week or less).
- Utilize a variety of software programs to monitor, update, and produce work products.
- Exercise good interpersonal skills.
Building Construction Management or related fields.
Registration RequirementsCommissioning Certification (CxA, CCCP, NEBB).
