Responsibilities
- Responsible for minor and major construction projects, supervising employees and preparing and evaluating their performance.
- Proficient at plan reading, highway engineering calculations, and the necessary survey instruments.
- Responsible for consultation investigation, evaluation and planning, design, design review and approval, and/or determination of environmental and safety impacts of work processes and products.
- Provide project management oversight, which may include supervision of lower-level technical and professional staff.
- Oversee or review environmental infrastructure and geomatic projects and manage implementation of projects/plans according to codes and regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in an applicable field of engineering from an appropriately accredited institution and three (3) years of progressively responsible experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- May require registration as a professional engineer by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors.
