Assistant Controller

Vaco is working with a manufacturing organization seeking a motivated Assistant Controller to support plant operations, financial reporting, and cost improvement initiatives. This role partners closely with site leadership and plays a key role in maintaining a strong internal control environment, supporting month‑end close, and driving operational efficiencies.

• Support month‑end close, financial reporting, and general ledger activities
• Maintain compliance with SOX controls and corporate accounting policies
• Assist with cost analysis, expense tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Coordinate account reconciliations, inventory support, and intercompany transactions
• Support fixed asset and tooling accounting
• Partner with operations to improve financial performance and drive business decisions
• Assist with audits, AP oversight, and shared services coordination

• 3–5 years of accounting and/or audit experience
• Manufacturing experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX controls
• Experience with cost accounting, inventory, and financial analysis
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

The salary range for the role is noted in this job posting.
