Job Description

We are seeking a Finance Analyst to support COGS and gross margin management for the business. This role will be responsible for financial planning, analysis, reporting, and business partnership across COGS, infrastructure, headcount, product cost structures, and gross margin performance.

The successful candidate will develop a strong understanding of the business’s cost drivers and provide financial analysis that improves cost transparency, operating efficiency, and gross margin performance. A key responsibility will be developing and maintaining COGS models for new product introductions, including assessments of product economics, scalability, cost-to-serve, and long-term margin implications.

This role requires strong financial acumen, attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to build effective relationships across multiple organizations.

What You’ll Do

Support COGS and gross margin planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance management, including variance analysis and clear insights for business and finance leaders.

Develop and maintain COGS models for new product introductions, incorporating infrastructure, cloud, licensing, support, operations, workforce, and scalability assumptions.

Analyze product economics, unit costs, cost-to-serve, and lifecycle gross margin implications to support product, pricing, and investment decisions.

Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, and Finance stakeholders to evaluate product investments, architecture decisions, launch readiness, and resource requirements.

Monitor infrastructure, cloud consumption, and headcount costs while identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to improve cost efficiency and gross margin.

Build financial frameworks, dashboards, allocation methodologies, and scenario models that improve cost transparency and enable fact-based decision-making.

Required Qualifications

4 + years of experience in financial planning and analysis, business finance, cost management, product finance, or a related field.

Strong understanding of COGS, gross margin, unit economics, forecasting, and variance analysis, with experience developing financial models for new product introductions or product-level profitability.

Experience partnering with Product, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or other cross-functional organizations.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and financial storytelling skills.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial planning, reporting, or analytics tools.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Preferred Qualification

Knowledge of pricing, product profitability, and margin optimization strategies.

Experience with Tableau, Power BI, Hyperion, Anaplan, SAP, or similar financial planning and analytics platforms.

Demonstrated experience applying AI-enabled tools and automation to streamline financial processes, improve reporting efficiency, and enhance decision-making.
