Halifax County Government seeks a Detention Officer I to supervise and secure inmates at the Halifax County Detention Facility. Duties include inmate intake, transport, feeding, and supervising activities, plus preparing computerized reports and logs and monitoring surveillance centers.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, be at least 21, possess a valid NC driver’s license, be a U.S. citizen, and be able to obtain certification as a law enforcement officer under NC Sheriff
