Atrium Health Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute – Concord is seeking an Adult Cardiothoracic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider to join their established practice in Concord, NC. You will join a team with opportunities for autonomy. Surgeons are readily available and easy to work with. The busy practice provides opportunities for continued growth while remaining centrally located.

• The practice has 12 cardiac and thoracic surgeons across SHVI and 28 surgical APPs at three sites
• Busy practice averaging 1500 cases a year between cardiac and thoracic services
• The practice performs both inpatient and outpatient procedures and utilizes a closed ICU
• No OR responsibilities. No call. Travel may be required to other sites.
• Position consists of providing care to both cardiac and thoracic surgery patients.
• Work in the inpatient setting on a rotating four, 10-hour shift schedule with rotating weekend coverage. Anticipated to work 1 weekend every 3-4 weeks.

• Graduated from an accredited NP or PA program AND maintain a current license to practice as an NP or PA in North Carolina. Current prescriptive privileges and DEA license required. BLS/ACLS Certified.
• Physician Assistants: certification from the NCCPA required.
• Nurse Practitioners:
  Acute Care NP Certification required.
• Experience performing some procedures, including bedside talc pleurodesis, autologous blood patch, TPA instillation, chest tube removal, pericardial drain removal, and wound vac placements.
