** Description of Work
** Provide general alcohol/drug information, unit orientation, and community living supervision to clients in a residential substance use disorder treatment program. Ensure that the operational functions of the facility are accomplished at the level set forth in appropriate standards, guidelines and policy. May provide support services to clinical counselors and other professionals in a variety of duties, to include: crisis intervention, screening/assessment, group facilitation, record keeping and case management.
Assist in transportation activities, food service operations, and provision of support services to all professional teams. Maintain appropriate inventories of supplies and materials and distribute supplies as needed. Perform routine head counts and monitor and supervise client movement.

Recruitment Range: $31,200 – $51,525

* * Basic knowledge of the disease of addiction and recovery process.
* Ability to effectively communicate with people who use substances and facilitate recovery focused education.
* Ability to develop effective working relationships with professionals involved in treating substance use disorders.
* North Carolina Certified Peer Support Specialist certification is required.
* Experience facilitating groups.##

** About the Facility:
** JFK is a 68-bed inpatient treatment facility designed to meet the needs of adults with substance use disorders from the 44 westernmost counties in North Carolina. The facility treats individuals with substance abuse and psychiatric diagnoses. JFK is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations as a Behavioral Health facility and certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services as an inpatient psychiatric hospital.##
