Food Purchasing Specialist

Morrison Healthcare is seeking a hands‑on, detail‑driven Food Purchasing Manager to support operations at a large healthcare account in Concord, NC.

This role oversees approximately $6.3 million in annual food purchasing volume and is responsible for ensuring product availability, cost control, vendor performance, and inventory accuracy within a fast‑paced hospital environment.

• Manage all food and non‑food purchasing for the account
• Maintain vendor relationships and ensure contract compliance
• Monitor pricing, cost controls, and budget performance
• Oversee inventory processes including pars, counts, receiving, and storage
• Assist with receiving deliveries and organizing storage areas as needed
• Ensure accurate reporting and alignment with company procurement standards
• Partner with culinary and operations leadership to support daily execution

• Proven experience in food purchasing within a food service environment
• Strong understanding of inventory management and cost control
• Experience in healthcare, hospitality, or contract food service preferred
• Organized, analytical, and comfortable in a hands‑on role
• Proficient in purchasing and inventory systems
