Job Responsibility
Collects pertinent data and information relative to the healthcare consumer's health or the situation.

Unit Information:
Beds: 14 private rooms, including two negative pressure rooms
Minimum Years of Experience required – 2 years Critical Care (Resource Team requirement)
Will you accept a first-time traveler – Not preferred but will consider (Resource Team)
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
STEMI (unstable), cardiogenic shock, cardiac arrest, thoracic surgery
CT Surgery to include CABG, Valve, Dissection
Skills required:
Management of vasoactive medications, various surgical drains, chest tubes, ventilators, CRRT
Invasive lines, including arterial lines, PA catheters, transvenous pacemakers
Management of invasive devices, including IABP, Impella
Support within the Department:
Charge nurse – may or may not have patient assignment
IV/VAT Team? yes
RT 24/7
Intensivist 24/7 (unit based)

Orientation (facility and unit): NEO, 2 days departmental
Scheduling:
Weekend rotation: every other;
No call;
Holiday Expectations:
Travelers will work 75% of holidays; RTO:
Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays – must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours;
Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks
