The Server & Hosting Analyst I serves as an entry-to-journey level infrastructure resource responsible for supporting enterprise server, hosting, and virtualization environments across the Department.
This position provides operational support, maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and implementation assistance for physical and virtual server environments, operating systems, hosting platforms, storage systems, and associated infrastructure technologies. The position works collaboratively with application teams, cybersecurity, networking, clinical informatics, vendors, and operational stakeholders to maintain stable, secure, and highly available hosting services supporting business and clinical operations, including electronic health record (EHR) systems, enterprise applications, and mission-critical infrastructure.
This role participates in incident response, system upgrades, patching, vulnerability remediation, disaster recovery activities, and infrastructure lifecycle management while adhering to State, departmental, and regulatory requirements related to security, privacy, and operational resiliency.

Salary Grade Range: $70,528.00-$
Recruitment Range: $70,000.00-$80,000.00
Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement. The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred:
- Knowledge of server operating systems, including Windows Server and/or Linux.
- Basic understanding of virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or hosted environments.
- Understanding of enterprise infrastructure concepts including storage, backups, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, networking fundamentals, and system monitoring.
- Familiarity with infrastructure security principles, patching, and vulnerability management.
- May require lifting and installation of technology equipment up to 30 pounds.
- Participation in after-hours maintenance activities and on-call support rotation may be required.
- May require occasional travel to DHHS facilities and partner locations.
- Primarily office or hybrid work environment with occasional work in data center or facility technology locations.
