Role Overview
The IT Support Technician will be responsible for providing onsite and remote support for end-users at Corning’s Concord plant. This role performs technical duties and activities within prescribed time frames in the manufacturing and office environments supporting a range of equipment including PCs, printers, servers, limited network/RF support, etc.
What You Will Do- Managing spares and assets inventory
- Training end-users
- Participating in plant IT-related activities
- Proposing and implementing solutions to improve and solve routine problems
- Assisting with management of hardware refresh projects
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years’ experience in an IT support role working with end-users, 3+ years’ experience working with computer hardware and software, including installation and maintenance, and relevant certifications a plus.
Requirements- Associate degree in IT-related field preferred or high school diploma with equivalent years of experience in a similar role
- 3+ years’ experience in an IT support role working with end-users
- 3+ years’ experience working with computer hardware and software, including installation and maintenance
- Technical knowledge of computer hardware, computer software, printers, and peripheral equipment
- Limited knowledge of LAN/WAN equipment and topology
- Advanced knowledge of Windows OS and MS Suite
