We are seeking an experienced
Workstation Analyst to support critical laboratory, manufacturing, and operational technology within a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
This position combines
workstation engineering, infrastructure support, application support, lifecycle management, and technical troubleshooting
. The successful candidate will work closely with Site IT, laboratory/manufacturing teams, global IT organizations, vendors, and end users to ensure reliable, compliant, and secure IT systems.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting
Windows workstations, Linux, Citrix/VDI, thin-client technologies, laboratory or manufacturing applications
, and preferably a background in
pharmaceutical, biotech, GMP/GxP, or other regulated environments
.
- Support and maintain workstations, applications, and infrastructure used in laboratory, manufacturing, and operational environments.
- Partner with Site IT and business stakeholders to understand technical requirements and provide reliable workstation and infrastructure solutions.
- Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot workstation hardware, operating systems, applications, peripherals, and related technologies.
- Support Windows and Linux workstation environments, including configuration, patching, troubleshooting, and lifecycle activities.
- Provide support for Citrix, VDI, IGEL/thin-client, and remote-access environments
. - Troubleshoot workstation, application, network connectivity, peripheral, and infrastructure issues.
- Coordinate with global IT teams and vendors regarding patching, maintenance, outages, upgrades, and system changes.
- Perform hardware and software compatibility assessments and recommend appropriate workstation configurations.
- Support workstation and application upgrades, replacements, and technology refresh initiatives.
- Participate in infrastructure and workstation Lifecycle Management (LCM) activities.
- Support laboratory and manufacturing systems in accordance with site procedures and corporate IT standards.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, configuration records, test documentation, and support procedures.
- Assist with validation activities, including infrastructure specifications, technical documentation, testing, and implementation support.
- Ensure workstation and application support activities align with GMP/GxP, data integrity, security, and compliance requirements
. - Work with hardware/software vendors to troubleshoot issues and define technical requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and training to end users when required.
- Collaborate with Site IT, enterprise IT, laboratory, manufacturing, engineering, and other functional teams to improve support processes and system reliability.
- 4+ years of experience in workstation engineering, desktop engineering, infrastructure support, or IT systems support
. - Strong experience with Windows workstation environments
, including Windows 10/11 and enterprise workstation management. - Experience with Linux administration and troubleshooting
. - Hands-on experience with Citrix and/or VDI environments
. - Experience supporting hardware deployment, software installation, configuration, upgrades, and troubleshooting
. - Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, connectivity troubleshooting, and basic network diagnostics.
- Experience with workstation patching, lifecycle management, and hardware/software compatibility.
- Experience creating technical documentation and supporting testing/implementation activities.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work 100% onsite in Concord, NC

- Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, medical device, or regulated manufacturing environments.
- Experience supporting GMP/GxP or validated systems
. - Laboratory IT or laboratory application support experience.
- Manufacturing/automation systems support experience.
- Experience with IGEL, thin clients, or RealVNC
. - Experience supporting enterprise workstation lifecycle and technology refresh programs.
- Experience working with global IT organizations and corporate governance processes.
- Familiarity with IT change management, validation, testing, and compliance documentation.
