Operations Manager
The Fordy Group are retained on a search for a Travelling Senior Superintendent across North Carolina, South Carolina & Georgia. The ideal candidates will have experience within the Industrial, Distribution, Manufacturing & Warehouse market sectors.

As a Senior Superintendent, you’ll lead on-site operations for major Industrial & Manufacturing projects, ensuring that every phase of construction is executed safely, efficiently, and with the highest quality standards. You’ll serve as the key field leader, mentoring teams, managing subcontractors, and partnering closely with project management to deliver outstanding results.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities- Lead all on-site construction activities for large-scale commercial projects from start to finish.
- Serve as the primary field point of contact for clients, trade partners, and internal teams.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to specification.
- Partner with the Corporate EHS Director and local safety coordinators to uphold jobsite safety.
- Oversee daily field operations, including scheduling, quality control, and logistics.
- Coordinate subcontractor work, site inspections, and local jurisdiction requirements.
- Participate in preconstruction and planning meetings, contributing to schedule development and constructability insights.
- Mentor and develop assistant superintendents and field staff, fostering professional growth and a culture of accountability.
- Manage project documentation including daily reports, QC/QA logs, and inspection records.
- Lead the project closeout process, ensuring completion of punch lists and turnover deliverables.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in field supervision, including prior experience as Superintendent on large commercial projects.
- OSHA 30 and CPR certifications required.
- 2-year Associate’s Degree or 4-year Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Demonstrated success leading complex, multi-phase commercial projects.
- Strong working knowledge of construction management software, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with scheduling software and AutoCAD is a plus.
- Deep understanding of construction methods, materials, and scheduling.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to build relationships and lead teams with professionalism, diplomacy, and respect.
