The CHVAC Leader is a recognized thought leader in Commodity Management & Strategic Sourcing. And leads a team of Regional Commodity Managers in the development and implementation of critical sourcing strategies and networks in support of cost, quality, delivery, and innovation excellence. Directs supplier selections, negotiations, and contract administration. Develops strategies to continuously improve and re-evaluate the purchasing activities of the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Lead global team of Regional Commodity Managers
- Provide leadership and functional excellence in the establishment and implementation of critical sourcing strategies inclusive of cost, quality, delivery, and innovation elements
- Key relationship holder with suppliers
- Develops and implements long-term supply chain strategies and networks that address capacity issues, production location decisions, etc.
- Directs evaluation and selection of suppliers that meet the organization's standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply.
- Directs negotiations, renegotiations, and administration of contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives.
- Partners with internal clients and stakeholders to identify sourcing needs and develops sourcing strategies to continuously improve and re-evaluate the purchasing activities of the company.
- Bachelor's Degree
- 7+ years of experience in Strategic Sourcing or Contract Management
- Degree in in Supply Chain, Materials Management, Operations, Finance or Engineering
- Master's degree or MBA
- Executive presence and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
- Strong Performance Management capability with focus on developing and mentoring staff
- Proven leadership skills and organizational management experience
- Dedicated, creative, and driven to be the best at building and maintaining strong relationships
- Excel in a dynamic and ambiguous environment
- Ability to exercise independent discernment in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
- Capability to work on complex problems where analysis of situations and data requires an evaluation of intangible variables
