About the Role

The Warehouse Technician will perform all duties associated with shipping and receiving in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include maintaining the safe and secure operation of the warehouse, managing inventory storage and movement of raw materials and finished goods, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key Accountabilities
  • Receive and log inbound materials using packing slips and purchase orders
  • Process, pick, pack, stage, and ship all outbound materials and customer orders
  • Ensure inventory accuracy and participate in cycle counts
  • Load and unload trucks using powered industrial vehicles, forklifts, powered pallet jack, and manual pallet jack
  • Pass forklift testing and operate a forklift safely and effectively
  • Pass DOT physical and operate a 26’ straight truck
  • Band and stretch‑wrap materials using banding and stretch‑wrapping equipment
  • Locate and disposition materials for manufacturing or shipping
  • Input transactions accurately into the ERP system
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for quality compliance
  • Prepare and complete bills of lading and shipping lists
  • Coordinate pick‑ups of recyclables
  • Assist in administration and purchasing of materials
  • Adhere to operator instructions and maintain work quality standards
  • Collaborate and communicate with team members and cross‑functional groups; lead meetings as needed
  • Become cross‑trained in all inventory management aspects
  • Communicate via telephone and e‑mail professionally
  • Maintain accurate and legible daily records
  • Participate in employee involvement activities and ISO 9000 initiatives
  • Practice excellent safety and environmentally sound habits; plan safety into work activities
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment; participate in 6S activities
  • Organize warehouse space
  • Ensure breaks and lunches are taken; do not abuse time
  • Support data management and work with Production to maximize throughput
  • Update production part numbers in the ERP system as needed
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and communicate them
  • Maintain professional relationships with area management and coworkers
  • Participate in Tier progression team roles
  • Palletize finished goods from pack‑out, check inventory accuracy in AX, and scan finished goods to rack locations
  • Keep all Celgard information confidential
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid and active U.S. Driver’s License
Knowledge & Experience
  • Previous warehouse experience and straight‑truck operation preferred
  • Proven ability to operate powered industrial vehicles safely and efficiently
  • General knowledge of shipping and receiving principles preferred
  • Fast‑paced, detail‑oriented work experience preferred
  • Team‑centered organization experience helpful
  • Lean manufacturing principles experience in a warehouse setting preferred
  • Experience with barcode scanners

Travel
  • Willing and able to travel up to 10%
Working Environment

Work requires standing and walking up to 80% of the time. Lighting and temperature in the warehouse are adequate. Lifting up to 25 pounds and/or force required to push, pull, or otherwise move objects may be required.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 7 am – 3:30 pm

The facility holds IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 certifications.
