To effectively setup and weld Vane Ring and Adjustment Ring components into Vane Ring and Adjustment Ring assemblies using an Line 15 Welder. Also, will perform rework operations on assemblies containing quality issues or bad welds. Adjustment rings will be turned on a CNC machine to the proper diameter size.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES- Setup Line 15 welder for Model of product needed
- Load and weld Vane Ring and Adjustment Ring components.
- Unload assemblies and inspect for possible quality issues with assemblies and for cracks in the welds per blueprint, control plan and work instructions.
- Verify all dimensions on adjustment ring OD and R/O per blueprint
- Operate equipment to highest production and quality standards.
- Make necessary adjustments to insure a quality product is being produced.
- Change filament in welder and clean welder vacuum tube as needed
- Maintain equipment and report malfunctions and safety issues to supervisor or maintenance as soon as possible.
- Transport completed material as required using proper handling methods.
- Keep work area in orderly condition with respect to proper materials, tools, equipment, and personal belongings. (Includes cleaning of equipment, floors, tables, etc.)
- Maintain quality standards by following proper inspection procedures.
- Understand and adhere to current health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Communicate and enforce safe work procedures.
- Identify and close safety issues (suggestions, inspection and investigation findings) and their corrective actions.
- Understand and adhere to current quality and control policies.
- Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
- Observe all safety/shop rules.
- Attendance on the job is essential.
Completion of high school or equivalent
- Preferred.
Licensed to operate forklift if applicable.
Two years’ experience in assembly.
Uses hand tools and production equipment appropriate to the work performed.
Basic blueprint reading and SPC knowledge required.
Completion of technical training in welding is preferred.
Must be able to follow instructions, safety rules and regulations.
