Registered Nurse (RN) – Infusion
Schedule:
PRN, As Needed. Day Shift.
At Haywood Regional Medical Center's Homestead location, we offer ambulatory infusion services in a safe, comfortable environment. The RN provides direct patient care, medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care, following the nursing process and scope of practice.
Responsibilities- Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.
- Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
- Provide care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
- Perform timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
- Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
- Perform timely and accurate QI assessments.

- Current North Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license.
- Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
- AHA Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
- AHA ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
- One year of experience preferred.
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision; ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
