Location:

Charlotte North, NC 28025 | Duration: 13 weeks | Shift: 12‑hour Night Shift (7p‑7a) | Pay: $1,246 weekly stipends, $23–$26/hr, $828–$936 weekly base pay

  • Licensed for 457 beds
  • Level 3 Trauma
  • Stroke Center of Excellence
  • Bariatric Center of Excellence
  • Chest Pain Center
  • Maternal Fetal Medicine Referral Center
  • Radius rule:
    Traveler’s permanent address must be 50 miles outside home unit
Unit Information
  • Beds: 13 labor beds, 5 triage rooms
  • Average census: 9–10 patients daily
  • Minimum experience:

    2 years LDRP
  • First‑time travelers accepted
Patient Types / Common Diagnoses
  • High‑risk Antepartum, Labor, Immediate Postpartum
  • Active Labor, Triage, Pre‑Eclampsia and other hypertensive disorders of pregnancy
  • Other common pregnancy/delivery conditions and complications
  • 60–65 deliveries/month
Patient Ratios
  • RN :
    Laboring : 1:1–2
Requirements
  • License: RN with BLS, ACLS, NRP, EFM (Resource Team requirements)
  • Certifications:

    BLS, ACLS, NRP, EFM
  • Skills:

    Labor management, circulating cesarean sections, pre‑op, PACU, triage, resuscitation of newborns, Pitocin management, epidural management

  • Secretary M‑F 8‑5
  • Scrub Tech
  • OB Mentor
  • Charge nurse 24/7
  • Phlebotomy (in hospital)
  • IV/VAT Team (in hospital)
  • RT 24/7
  • Hospitalist 24/7

  • Floating mid‑shift paid for travel time
Orientation (Facility & Unit)
  • NEO
  • 2‑day departmental orientation
Scheduling
  • Weekend rotation: every other
  • No call required for travelers
  • Holiday expectations: work 75% of holidays
  • RTO: up to 6 days off excluding holidays – must add time to end of contract if unable to meet contracted hours
  • Shift times: 06:45‑19:30 / 18:45‑07:30
  • Schedule cycle: every 4 weeks
