Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department

Sign‑On Bonus: $20,000 with a two‑year agreement.

Schedule:

Three 12‑hour shifts per week, full‑time night (7:00 pm – 7:00 am).

Location:

Maria Parham Medical Center – Henderson, NC.

Provides direct patient care in the Emergency Department using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Reports to the Director or Manager of Emergency Department.

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments and other medical care activities.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity.
• Is responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina (or compact license).
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required).
• PALS and ACLS certification (required).
