This position is responsible for the Communicable Disease (CD) program which includes being responsible for programmatic guidelines and following the agreement addenda. This position will be responsible for investigation, surveillance, and reporting of Communicable diseases following CDC and NC Communicable Branch guidelines. Serves as a resource for Communicable diseases and issues and participating in outbreak investigations with the agency and the community.
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university with a B.S. in Nursing which includes a Public Health Nursing rotation and two years of Public Health Nursing experience; OR Master’s in Public Health and graduation from a school of professional nursing and two years of professional nursing experience; OR graduation from a school of professional nursing and three years of professional nursing experience including two years of Public Health nursing experience.
A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina and an appropriate driver’s license valid in the State of N.C. is also required.
