Description:
The facility is licensed for 457 beds and is a Level 3 Trauma center. It has recognition as a Stroke Center of Excellence and a Bariatric Center of Excellence. The department consists of 19 OR suites, with 17 rooms blocked for scheduling. An average of 50 cases are performed per day. The patient types and common diagnoses include Trauma, ortho trauma, ortho total joints, spine, hearts, vascular, GYN, GYN-Oncology, Robotics, General surgery, HPB, Bariatrics, Urology, ENT, Eyes, Pain, and Plastics.
The ideal candidate will have experience circulating in a variety of surgical cases. Skills in laparoscopic and open procedures, as well as robotics, are advantageous. Flexibility and the ability to work as a motivated team player are essential. Weekend rotation includes coverage requirements every fourth weekend. There may be on-call shifts with an average of six call shifts per six-week schedule.
A 45-minute response time is required for call. Travelers can expect to work holidays, approximately 75% of the holiday schedule. RTO is subject to manager approval. The department culture emphasizes teamwork and collaboration.
