Registered Nurse, ICU

Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse for our ICU. In this role, you will deliver evidence-based, compassionate care to critically ill patients, performing continuous assessment, monitoring, and documentation. You will administer medications and infusions, manage ventilators and ICU equipment, and respond rapidly to changes in condition. Working in our patient-centered, team-focused environment, you will collaborate closely with physicians and allied staff, support families, and contribute to quality and safety initiatives while growing your critical care expertise.

• Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill ICU patients
• Continuously assess, monitor, and document patient status and vital signs
• Administer medications, infusions, and treatments per provider orders and protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary team members
• Operate and troubleshoot ICU equipment including ventilators, pumps, and monitors
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and care plans
• Participate in bedside rounds, care conferences, and discharge planning
• Follow infection control, safety, and quality standards and policies
• Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and participate in codes
• Precept and support new staff as needed and contribute to quality improvement
