Clinical Nurse II – Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU)

Are you an experienced critical care nurse looking to make a meaningful impact in advanced cardiovascular care? Join our 20-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU), where you'll care for a high-acuity patient population while working alongside a highly skilled, collaborative interdisciplinary team.

Our team specializes in caring for critically ill cardiovascular patients with complex conditions, including:

• STEMI and acute coronary syndromes
• Advanced heart failure
• Cardiomyopathy
• Cardiogenic shock
• Post-cardiac arrest care

You’ll collaborate closely with physicians, APPs, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, care managers, chaplains, patient care technicians, telemetry support staff, and experienced critical care nurses to provide comprehensive cardiovascular critical care.

• Deliver safe, high-quality critical care to complex cardiovascular patients
• Monitor and manage patients requiring advanced hemodynamic therapies
• Recognize and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop individualized plans of care
• Educate and support patients and their families
• Participate in quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives

• Current RN license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• At least one year of acute care nursing experience

• Cardiovascular ICU, Cardiovascular Care or other critical care experience
• Experience with IABP, Impella, CRRT, or TTM
• Cardiovascular critical care experience
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to continued learning and professional growth

Education Requirements

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• If hired after January 6, 2014, must be enrolled within four years of employment, and obtain a Bachelor's degree with a major in Nursing or a Master's degree with a major in Nursing within seven years of employment date.

Licensure/Certification Requirements

• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification

Professional Experience Requirements

• One (1) year of nursing experience.
