Overview

Regional Mix Design Specialist – High Performance Concrete. Lithko Contracting is seeking a Regional Mix Design Specialist to join our Southeast region. This highly visible role will partner with regional executive leadership and operations teams to own the technical knowledge in mix-designs, pour operations planning, quality control, and look-ahead strategies related to concrete construction and execution.

Responsibilities include applying expertise in mix design and concrete placement to support project planning and execution, collaborating with batch plants, suppliers, and testing labs, and guiding field teams to ensure quality and performance in accordance with project requirements.

• Background in ready-mix quality control; experience as a Ready-Mix Plant QC Manager (min 5 years)
• Can quickly diagnose and solve field issues (set time, cracking, finishability, strength, etc.)
• Strong understanding of mix design and how it translates to real-world placement
• Comfortable working directly with batch plants, suppliers, and testing labs
• Can recommend the right mix for the right application
• Brings credibility with field teams; able to communicate simply and earn trust fast
• Self-starter who can operate across multiple projects/BURGs without heavy oversight
• Holds ACI certifications:
  Laboratory Testing Technician Level 1-2

• Experience with specialty slabs (FF/FL, shrinkage control, high-performance finishes)
• Understands cost, schedule, and constructability (not just technical performance)
• Familiar with thermal control planning and mass concrete pours
• Holds NRMCA Certifications Level 1-4
