Quality Control Technician

QC Utility Testing Technicians, supporting Chemistry team

Duration: 12-month contract

• Initial training: M–F, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (day shift)
• After training:
  Sun-Wed Four 10-hour shifts every week.
• Once on shift you'll work 10PM-830AM

Pay: $25-35/hour

Our client is seeking four QC Utility Testing Technicians to support the Chemistry Quality Control laboratory during off-shift operations. These individuals will primarily perform UV-Vis testing while supporting additional routine chemistry and utility testing activities as needed. This is an excellent opportunity for recent Chemistry or Biology graduates or laboratory professionals looking to build experience within a GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

Candidates should be motivated, dependable, eager to learn, and comfortable working independently during nights and weekends after completing an initial onboarding and training period.

• Perform routine UV-Vis (UV/Visible Spectrophotometer) testing in support of Quality Control operations.
• Execute laboratory testing in accordance with SOPs, GMP requirements, and internal quality standards.
• Perform additional utility testing, including Total Organic Carbon (TOC) and conductivity testing, as business needs require.
• Document laboratory results accurately and completely.
• Communicate testing results, equipment issues, and laboratory observations to the appropriate stakeholders during off-shift operations.
• Support sample handling and other laboratory activities as assigned.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
• Follow all safety, quality, and compliance procedures.

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or another scientific discipline OR equivalent laboratory experience.
• Basic laboratory experience through industry, internships, academic coursework, or research.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to following procedures.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to work independently during off-shift operations.

• Experience with UV-Vis spectroscopy or UV-Visible spectrophotometers.
• Experience working in a Quality Control laboratory.
• Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
• Experience performing TOC or conductivity testing.
• Previous GMP pharmaceutical, biotechnology, food, or regulated laboratory experience.

• Initial onboarding and training will occur Monday–Friday during standard business hours (approximately 8:00 AM–5:00 PM).
• After training, the regular schedule will be:
• Sun-Wed or Wed-Sat
• Four 10-hour night shifts
• Shift: 10pm-830AM
