Position Summary

The Biomedical Research Imaging Center ( BRIC ) has dual missions:
To serve the imaging needs of the researchers of the University and to advance the rapidly developing science of biomedical imaging. The Research Assistant supports research activities focused on synthesizing high resolution MRIs to improve autism diagnoses. This role contributes to data management, data analysis, and the preparation of research publications. The position works collaboratively with the research team to execute study protocols, ensure data quality, support dissemination of research findings, and conduct analysis using appropriate statistical and computational methods.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required (or foreign degree equivalent); for candidates demonstrating comparable independent research productivity, will accept a relevant Bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) and 3 or more years of relevant experience in substitution. May require terminal degree and licensure.

Required Qualifications , Competencies, and Experience

Proficiency with statistical or data analysis software (e.g., R, Python, SPSS , MATLAB ).
Ability to manage and analyze datasets, including performing data cleaning and basic statistical tests.
Familiarity with research methodology, quantitative analysis, and basic interpretation of findings.

Preferred Qualifications , Competencies, and Experience

Experience with research publication.
