Job Title: Senior Associate Research Scientist I

Location: Research Triangle Park, NC 27713

Duration: 7 months

Pay rate: $34/hour - $35/hour

Work schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Overview

Seeking a Senior Associate Research Scientist I for an on-site, laboratory-based role in the Bioanalytics, Analytical Operations Laboratory located in Research Triangle Park, NC. This position is responsible for providing analytical testing support for development and process characterization projects in a cGXP environment. The candidate will operate modern analytical instrumentation, execute precise testing, accurately document findings, and participate in technical problem-solving and investigations with minimal assistance.

Specifications
  • Perform analytical testing and analyses using modern instrumental techniques, including Karl Fischer moisture analysis, coagulation assays, enzymatic assays, and immunoassays.
  • Apply proper pipetting techniques (volumetric, positive displacement, reverse) and maintain a sound understanding of test method principles.
  • Operate and perform maintenance on modern analytical instruments, such as coulometric titrators, coagulation analyzers, immunonephelometers, and plate readers.
  • Accurately and contemporaneously document laboratory work in research notebooks or LIMS system; contribute to report writing as needed.
  • Identify aberrant results, initiate investigations, and actively participate in problem-solving efforts.
  • Follow cGXP regulations and applicable regulatory guidance documents for cGXP testing, method validation, and CMC development.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and occupational demands required for working in a clinical/laboratory environment with biological fluids and chemicals.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Degree in a relevant field (Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or Toxicology).
  • Master’s degree plus 1 year of relevant experience, OR Bachelor’s degree plus 3 to 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Relevant analytical test experience in a cGXP environment.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
