The Receiving Specialist (RS) assists customers and helps to maintain the store appearance. The RS is responsible for all aspects of customer service, merchandising, and store maintenance.

Primary responsibilities include assisting with receiving the truck, moving freight from the truck to the sales floor, pricing items, merchandising product, and recovering the store; maintaining a neat and organized receiving area; assisting with training new receiving Specialists; communicating receiving needs and issues to Team Leaders when necessary; greeting and acknowledging every customer as they enter and exit the store and as they approach the front end;

accurately and efficiently operating the register as needed; being knowledgeable of all promotions and advertisements to ensure that customer questions can be answered and to assist with selling product; supporting Ollie's Army and other donation programs throughout the year; maintaining the cleanliness of the overall store; and completing any additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned.

Qualifications include the ability to work afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis; the ability to communicate effectively; the ability to preserve confidentiality of information; accuracy and attention to detail; the ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks and activities and work within strict time frames and deadlines; outstanding interpersonal and listening skills; and a positive attitude and the ability to interact well with customers and Associates.

Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, push and pull up to 35 pounds, stand for extended periods, bend and twist frequently, grip, reach, and pinch with arms and hands frequently, squat, kneel, balance, and climb ladders occasionally, and work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
