Overview
Part‑time position
. Responsible for processing, packaging, and stocking meat products in accordance with Meat Standards, cleaning work areas, providing customer service, unloading stock, and reloading salvage. Perform seafood clerk duties when assigned.
- Process, package, and stock meat products following company standards.
- Clean and maintain work areas.
- Provide customer service and respond to customer inquiries.
- Unload incoming stock and reload salvage.
- Assume seafood clerk duties as required.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education; or one to three months of related experience/training; or equivalent combination.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and willingness to complete required training.
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills (add and subtract two‑digit numbers, work with money and weight units).
- Ability to apply common sense to follow detailed written or oral instructions.
- Proficiency in English for reading, writing, and communication.
- Completion of company training: new‑hire orientation, food sanitation, customer service, safety, food safety, and product knowledge.
- Regular standing, walking, and use of hands for handling, reaching, and lifting.
- Lift and move up to 50 pounds (reach 6–72 inches); lift and move up to 100 pounds (reach 6–72 inches).
- Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
- Visual requirements: close vision, color, and depth perception.
- Cool environment (average temperature 34–36°F) with wet/humid conditions and moving mechanical parts.
- Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, extreme cold, and noise levels ranging from moderate to loud.
