Blue Sky is seeking a seasoned Regional Sales Manager for our client, a leading company in the school cafeteria renovation industry. The Regional Sales Manager will drive sales growth and expand market share for our cafeteria solutions within the K-12 education sector.
This role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with key school district leadership, excellent communication skills, and a passion for improving student wellness through effective and engaging dining solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, excellent communication skills, a customer satisfaction focus, and a strategic mindset to navigate the competitive landscape effectively.
Responsibilities:- Sales Management: Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and maximize market potential within the assigned region.
- Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with school districts, food service directors, and other key stakeholders to understand their needs and promote our solutions effectively.
- Sales Presentations: Create and deliver persuasive sales presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients.
- RFP/Bid Assistance: Collaborate with and support the internal team in the preparation of RFPs and bids.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product development, and operations teams to align sales efforts with company objectives and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Performance Tracking: Track and analyze business development metrics, offering insights and recommendations for ongoing improvement. Utilize the company’s CRM system to manage all leads and prospects and provide weekly reports on activities and updates to the sales pipeline.
- Industry Representation
:
Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote our solutions and represent the company in the K-12 sector. - Project Intake: Accurately measuring and assessing floor plans to ensure compliance with design specifications and operational requirements.
- Project Oversight: Oversee on-site installation to ensure that client expectations are met. Identify and elevate any issues to Project Management and Leadership for resolution. Ensure projects are completed on schedule and to client satisfaction.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably in the K-12 education sector or food service industry.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Self-starter and strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong understanding of K-12 school operations, and food service regulations.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to analyze data and develop actionable insights.
- Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite.
- This role involves approximately 80% travel, primarily to the Southeast, Eastern Seaboard, and the Midwest (including Ohio, and Illinois), with potential trips to additional regions.
- Able to pass a Level 2 background check.
- Experience working in the K-12 sector is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with digital marketing and social media strategies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing environments.
