In this highly visible role, you will identify new business opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, and connect customers with innovative solutions that enhance reliability, resilience, and operational performance.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.
As a trusted advisor to utility organizations, you will work closely with decision-makers, industry partners, and internal teams to understand customer needs and deliver solutions that create long-term value. From uncovering novel opportunities to negotiating contracts and supporting successful outcomes, you will play a key role in advancing critical infrastructure initiatives and supporting the energy transition. Identify and develop new opportunities across electric, gas, and water utility markets.
Execute business development strategies that support growth objectives and market expansion.
Build strong relationships with utility leaders and key decision-makers.
Lead opportunities through the full sales cycle, from discovery to contract close.
Collaborate with engineering, product, marketing, and legal teams to develop winning solutions.
Analyze market trends, customer priorities, and competitive activity to inform strategy.
Deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and business updates to customers and stakeholders.
Represent Hitachi Energy at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of business development, sales, or account management experience within the utility sector.
Strong understanding of utility industry trends, customer challenges, and regulatory environments.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing strategic customer relationships.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills.
Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce and the ability to travel frequently.
