Position: Security Generalist / Cherry Point NC

As a program security professional at Lockheed Martin, you'll be part of a team that's shaping the future of national security and defense. You'll have the opportunity to work on complex and challenging projects that require expertise in security and compliance. You'll collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure the secure development, production, and deployment of our products and services. Your contributions will help protect sensitive information and critical assets and support the success of our customers and partners.

Responsibilities:
  • Support security efforts of the F‑35 program, including development, production, and sustainment.
  • Control and manage unclassified and classified material, and provide physical security for multiple Special Access Program Facilities.
  • Control access and badging to all F‑35 areas, provide escort services, and assist in planning and execution of program security operations related to Special Access Program Facilities.
  • Aid and support classified meetings; provide security briefings when necessary.
  • Manage personnel files, including visitor access requests, program access requests, and file reviews.
  • Perform other security duties as necessary and provide support to other Special Access Programs.
  • Primarily assigned to First Shift, with flexibility for other shifts and weekends, and occasional travel.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Final transferable SECRET clearance with closed investigation date within 5 years, or confirmed enrollment in the CE program with the ability to maintain a TOP SECRET clearance with SCI when required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain access to Special Access Programs (SAPs).
  • Experience providing oversight to multi‑functions of security (Personnel Security, Operational Security, Physical Security, Security Education Training and Awareness).
  • In‑depth knowledge of DoD Manual 5205.7, DoD Manual 5200.01 Volumes 1‑3, ICD 705 and associated Technical Specifications.
  • Experience working on Special Access Programs.
  • Familiarity with classified environments and classified materials.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Defense Information Security System (DISS).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access).
Desired

Skills:
  • Knowledge and experience authoring Standard Operating Procedures/Facility Operating Procedures.
  • Experience executing Self‑Inspections and preparing for Higher Headquarters Compliance Inspection; authoring Corrective Action Plans.
  • Knowledge of F‑35 Program Security requirements.
  • Prior experience as a CSSO, GSSO, PSO, PSM, ASM, or PSR.
  • Experience conducting investigations of security violations and coordinating corrective actions.
  • Experience with GSA containers and document control.
  • Experience in a dynamic military environment and ability to interact with senior military officers and key government stakeholders.
  • Comfortable making autonomous decisions and operating in a military flying operations environment.
  • Access control and physical security experience.
