Primary RoleThe Security and Discipline Officer maintains a safe and orderly environment, manages traffic control during morning arrivals and afternoon dismissals, assists Assistant Principals with student discipline and observation, and ensures overall school security.

- A high school diploma or equivalent; further education or training in security, law enforcement, or related field is a plus.
- Prior experience in a security, law enforcement, or school supervisory role is preferred.
- Strong observational and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in stressful situations.
- Basic knowledge of traffic control procedures and student behavior management.
- Must work outdoors under various weather conditions.
- Must be willing to work additional hours for school events and athletic games.
- Must possess a clean background check and mandatory certifications required by the district.
- Direct and manage traffic flow in the school area during morning arrivals and afternoon dismissals.
- Assist students and parents in safely crossing the road and monitor the school’s parking areas.
- Support HS and MS Assistant Principals in handling discipline issues.
- Monitor student behavior to ensure compliance with school policies.
- Conduct regular patrols of school grounds to deter and address behavioral or security concerns.
- Maintain a visible presence on premises to promote safety.
- Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies following school protocols.
- Collaborate with administration and local law enforcement to address concerns.
- Assist supervision during school events, assemblies, and athletic games.
- Stay for games and after‑school events for additional compensation as required.
- Prepare and submit reports on incidents and observations to the Principal.
Must stand, walk, and direct traffic for extended periods; must handle potential physical confrontations calmly and effectively.
Work EnvironmentPrimarily outdoors during traffic control times, with indoor duties during school hours.
